7/19:Former Cleveland Indians catcher Francisco Mejia will be the lone Indian that is traded to the Padres for relievers Adam Cimber and Brad Hand. Mejia has been a highly touted prospect for the last couple of years. Mejia is currently in Triple-A for the Indians, and hasn't contributed at the major league level. Closer Brad Hand was acquired by the Indians in exchange for Mejia, and with this move the Indians have proven to the rest of the league that they want to contend for a title. Cleveland must be confident in catcher Yan Gomes as they traded away a top prospect in a very shallow position with Mejia. This move has little fantasy baseball relevance as Mejia won't be on our radar until next season, but could have an impact as San Diego continues to rebuild and strengthen their farm system. Keep an eye out for Mejia as he will arrive in sunny San Diego soon.--Tommy Vaughn - RotoBaller
