7/16:Despite having the opportunity to rest and clear his head during the All-Star Break, Toronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Francisco Liriano still can’t get right on the mound. On Saturday against the Detroit Tigers, Liriano was once again lit up to the tune of five earned runs on three hits and four walks over two innings pitched. He struck out two on the afternoon. The effort marked the third time in his last five starts that he’s surrendered five earned runs, and his ERA sits at an unsightly 6.04 on the year (70 innings pitched). He is quite obviously not a fantasy option, and he cannot be long for the rotation given the results.--Andrew Bua - RotoBaller
