7/17:If you’re a fantasy owner of Toronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Francisco Liriano, we have some good news and some bad news. The good news is, the neck injury that caused Liriano to leave Saturday’s game against the Detroit Tigers doesn’t sound serious; there’s no need for an MRI at this point and Liriano is day-to-day. The bad news? You acknowledged you’re a fantasy owner of Franciso Lirano. Injured or not, Liriano has been absolutely dreadfull for most of the season, and that includes Saturday’s five earned runs over two innings pitched. He’s allowed five earned runs in three of his last five starts, and owns a 6.04 ERA on the year. Here’s some more good news, though: you don’t have to be a fantasy owner of Francisco Liriano. There are likely a plethora of better options available on your waiver wire.--Andrew Bua - RotoBaller
