4 weeks agoFighting for playing time this season, San Diego Padres outfielder Franchy Cordero has contributed a bit of everything on offense this spring, smacking two homers, stealing five bases and recording 19 runs-plus-RBI. The Friars 24-year-old prospect showed promise in 2018, cranking seven dingers and swiping five bags before midseason elbow surgery prematurely ended his season after just 154 plate appearances. If Cordero cuts down on strikeouts and plays more consistent defense, he could force himself into the conversation for regular starts as the Padres only left-handed outfield bat. Despite his ability to play all three outfield positions, Cordero will probably start the season as a platoon player but possesses the skillset to emerge above his teammates. His ADP of 446 looks relatively attractive compared to fellow center fielder Manuel Margot (296), but he’s just a late-round flyer heading into the 2019 fantasy season.--Andrew Le - RotoBaller
