4/21:Exactly one year ago, New York Mets second baseman Neil Walker was about as hot as any player in baseball. He hit nine home runs that April, making an incredible debut as a New York Met. This April hasn’t exactly been a repeat, unfortunately. Walker finally hit his first homer of the year on Thursday night in a 6-4 loss to the Phillies, a three-run shot that trimmed Philadelphia’s lead to 5-4. For the season, he’s slashing .228/.318/.333 with one homer, six runs scored, six RBI, and a 8:9 walk-to-strikeout ratio. Let’s see if Thursday’s long ball gets Walker going this weekend in a big series against the Nationals.--Andrew Bua - RotoBaller
