Evan Hull 2024 Outlook: Practice Squad Depth
4 months agoIndianapolis Colts' running back Evan Hull is healthy after losing his rookie campaign to a knee injury just two touches into the season. The Northwestern product did not make the initial 53-man roster, as journeymen Trey Sermon and Tyler Goodson earned the nod over him. Sermon ran 35 times for 160 yards last season, while Goodson toted the ball 13 times for 87 yards and had the infamous dropped fourth-down pass in the Week 18 game against Houston. Both running backs have bounced between practice squads in their short time in the league, giving Hull a solid chance to potentially overtake them as the season goes on. The role behind Jonathan Taylor is a valuable one for fantasy, as the star has missed 14 games over the past two seasons. Hull is not in play for fantasy given that he is not on the 53-man roster, but if injuries strike the backfield he could emerge as an option later on in the year.
