2 years agoEmmanuel Sanders should be a solid WR2 once again in 2017. He’s topped 130 targets in all three seasons with Denver. The Broncos offensive personnel are relatively unchanged, there’s no threat there. Sanders just turned 30 earlier this year, and for a player with his resume, that’s still plenty young. In general, quarterback play is something that matters for WRs, but Sanders numbers are relatively stable regardless of who’s under center. Over the past three seasons he’s played 26 games with Peyton Manning, and 20 with some combination of Brock Osweiler, Paxton Lynch, and Trevor Siemian. But his points per game average only drops by about 2.5 points with the lesser QBs. Contrast that with teammate Demaryius Sanders, whose per game average drops by about five points. The consistency Sanders offers is a nice thing for your WR2 to possess. His role should be very much as it has been. With no clear option at tight end, and not much talent or experience behind him on the depth chart, look for Sanders to keep earning targets – and turning them into points – at a top-20 WR rate.--Charlie Kleinheksel - RotoBaller
