6 months agoAfter an eventful four hours of baseball, the New York Mets held a lead in the 11th inning Monday night against the Philadelphia Phillies. Closer Edwin Diaz was summoned and he was stellar once again, striking out the side to secure another victory. Diaz now has six saves, the second most in the National League early on this season. While Diaz remains a stalwart, the rest of the bullpen has become worrisome for the Mets, potentially ruining some of the Puerto Rican's save opportunities. For now, however, he continues to do what's expected of him, quickly establishing himself as one of the top closers this year.--Ricky Delgado - RotoBaller
