10/17:Boston Red Sox starting pitcher Eduardo Rodriguez underwent a right knee patellofemoral ligament reconstruction and is expected to return to pitching in roughly six months. His surgery was performed by Dr. James Andrews in Florida. The promising young left-hander just hasn't been able to get his knee right, but hopefully this procedure fixes that. Still, it's another setback for a high-upside strikeout arm, and he won't be an option in fantasy leagues next spring. E-Rod went 6-7 with a 4.19 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 150 strikeouts in 137 1/3 innings (24 starts) in 2017.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
