Domantas Sabonis 2018-19 Player Outlook
6 years agoFew players embraced a change of scenery better than Domantas Sabonis did last season, averaging 11.6 points and 7.7 rebounds per game in his first season with the Pacers. His first year in Oklahoma City saw the big man attempting to become a pure three-point shooter, something he hadn’t done much of at Gonzaga. Instead, Indiana allowed him to play off the pick and roll, getting easier buckets at the hoop. The results were startling, with his field goal percentage climbing from 39.9 percent to 51.4 percent and his points, rebounding, and assists totals all nearly doubling despite only four more minutes per game. Expect another similar type of season from Sabonis, making him a solid selection in the middle rounds.
