Devin White 2020 Outlook: Quickly Becoming An IDP Force In Just His Second Season
5 years agoThere were high expectations immediately for Devin White when he was drafted fifth overall last year. But he quickly lived up to those expectations and became the unquestioned leader of Tampa's defense right away. White is a dynamic sideline-to-sideline presence and is just 22 years old. A knee injury caused him to miss three games in 2019, but he still finished with 91 tackles (58 solo), 2.5 sacks, an interception, three forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries and two touchdowns -- the first rookie defensive player to do so since 1951. With better health, White should easily be able to improve on his finish as the No. 23 fantasy linebacker in 2020. He's already the leader of this improving defense and should become more of a household name as he matures. White is easily a top-15 IDP linebacker that should be started on a weekly basis.
