Devin Funchess 2020 Outlook: Bounce Back Season In Green Bay?
5 years agoUPDATE: PLAYER HAS OPTED OUT OF THE 2020 NFL SEASON
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Devin Funchess is looking to revive his career after nearly missing all of the 2019 season due to a broken clavicle. He will be playing with the great Aaron Rodgers and will compete to be the WR2 on the depth chart. His best season came in 2017 when he caught 63 balls for 840 yards and eight touchdowns. Davante Adams is the man to own in the offense, and Allen Lazard is pegged to be second in line for targets. His size, combined with his ability to make contested catches, will make him a threat in the red-zone. It’s wheels up for Funchess if he can gain a rapport with Rodgers and assert himself as one of the top receiving options in the offense. With him being an afterthought in drafts with a 266 ADP, Funchess could develop into one of the biggest steals in fantasy if he pans out in Green Bay. He’s worth a late-round dart throw to see if he can receive a boost from Rodgers. He is only 26 years old, and he still has plenty of time to develop into a dependable fantasy asset. If the stars aline, he could be a dirt-cheap WR2 in fantasy.
