Devin Duvernay 2022 Outlook: All-Pro Return Man Should Have Bigger Offensive Role
2 years agoThe Baltimore Ravens have opportunity in the wide receiver ranks in 2022 after they traded No. 1 receiver Marquise Brown to the Arizona Cardinals during the draft. Veteran Sammy Watkins is also no longer on the roster. Enter Devin Duvernay, a third-year wideout who earned All-Pro honors in 2021 for his work as a return man on special teams. He'll be competing with James Proche II and Tylan Wallace for expanded pass-catching duties behind Rashod Bateman after securing 33 of his 47 targets for 272 yards and two touchdowns in 16 games a season ago. While the 24-year-old could see most of his work out of the slot, he could also be moved to the outside. Regardless of where he lines up, Duvernay should see a big uptick in targets, but will it be enough to warrant a roster spot in standard 12-team fantasy leagues? Probably not to open the season, but he's a player to watch, at the very least.
