Deshaun Watson 2023 NFL Player Outlook: Ready To Get Back To 2020 Form?
2 years agoNo player or team faced more scrutiny in 2022 than Deshaun Watson and the Cleveland Browns. After giving up the farm and fully guaranteeing his contract, the Browns saw Watson suspended for 11 games due to sexual misconduct. He missed all of 2021 with a contract holdout as a member of the Houston Texans, but Watson was lights-out in 2020 throwing for 4,823 yards and 33 TDs while averaging 8.9 YPA. We are at that point of the offseason where the Browns look to be warriors on paper and head coach Kevin Stefanski says Watson is "right where he needs to be." Cleveland's offense is stockpiled with weapons in Nick Chubb, Amari Cooper, Elijah Moore, and David Njoku on top of a solid offensive line, but in a loaded AFC, Watson may not even be considered a Top 7 QB currently. The potential is there for this team to put it all together in 2023, but it won't be an easy task by any means.
