Derrick Favors 2019 Player Outlook
5 years agoNew Orleans Pelicans power forward/center Derrick Favors is trending up and quickly for this upcoming season. Favors has proven in the past that he can be a fantasy beast when being the lone big man on the floor and he did post elite per-36 minute numbers last season (18.3 points, 11.4 rebounds, 2.2 blocks, and 1.1 steals). No longer behind the shadow of Rudy Gobert in Utah, Favors looks to breakout this upcoming season as being the main man in the middle for the young Pelican's squad. We can assume we will not see his per-36 minute numbers, but a solid double-double with elite defensive numbers is definitely in reach. His average draft position in mock drafts seems to be getting higher and higher, but do not reach too much for this big man. If you can grab him in the fourth or even better, fifth round, you should be happy with the potential stat-stuffing capabilities in your 'Favor(s)'.
