Dawson Knox 2024 Fantasy Football Outlook: Provides Low Ceiling Without Starting Role
6 months agoBuffalo Bills tight end Dawson Knox will be overshadowed by Dalton Kincaid in 2024, but Knox remains a rare tight-end handcuff if Kincaid gets hurt. With new offensive coordinator Joe Brady shifting to a more run-heavy offense last season, the Bills should be in lots of 12-personnel, giving Knox more playing time. The departures of Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis mean over 240 vacated targets are up for grabs as new faces enter the receiver room, so there may be enough looks for a second tight end to succeed. While he should be in line for more snaps, Knox seems to be in the "touchdown or bust" TE category with eight red-zone targets last year (Kincaid had nine). It is also worth noting that Knox will cost the Bills roughly $7.7 million against the cap in 2024 after restructuring. While this does not guarantee targets, it would be a big waste of money as Buffalo’s seventh-highest hit. Knox likely goes undrafted in most leagues, standing with an ADP above 200 as RotoBaller’s TE30 in preseason ranks, but he'll be a waiver priority if Kincaid goes down.
