Davante Adams 2019 Outlook: Leading Receiver For Aaron Rodgers
6 years agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams comes into this season as the standout receiver on an offense led by future Hall-of-Famer Aaron Rodgers. There is a current school of thought that the Packers offense will be greatly improved under new coach Matt LeFleur. LeFleur struggled in Tennessee, but he doesn't need to excel as a play caller to succeed with talent on offense. Adams has a great rapport with Rodgers, and has had over 25% of the targets in games he has played in, ending his most recent season with over 100 receptions. The true upside for Adams however is the touchdown numbers. In each of his last three seasons he has been able to catch over 10 touchdowns. The Packers didn't add any new receivers of note in the offseason, while Randall Cobb also left town - meaning that Davante Adams is truly the only name in town. Adams should be able to catch around 100 passes for over 1,000 yards and double digit touchdowns, making him one of the elite wide receivers this draft season.
