Darius Slayton 2022 Outlook: Off The Fantasy Radar In Crowded Receiving Corps
2 years agoAlong with most of the rest of the New York Giants wide receivers last year, Darius Slayton was disappointing. The former fifth-rounder had career-lows in games played (13), receptions (26), targets (58), receiving yards (339), yards per catch (13.0), touchdowns (two) and yards per game (26.1). If quarterback Daniel Jones can stay healthy in 2022, the Giants passing game could be dangerous, but Slayton is currently buried on the depth chart behind the likes of Kenny Golladay, Kadarius Toney and Sterling Shepard, among others. The 25-year-old impressed his first two years in the league with 98 catches, 1,491 yards and 11 touchdowns, but it'll likely take another injury or two to the wideouts ahead of him for Slayton to be worth a waiver-wire pickup this season in fantasy.
