6 months agoColorado Rockies first baseman Daniel Murphy continued to reinforce that he's back into the swing of things by drilling his sixth home run of the season on Wednesday night. Murphy turned a 2-0 fastball by Zack Greinke into a souvenir for the folks on the patio in Arizona to tie the game for the Rockies. Murphy has now safely hit in six of his last eight games and has recorded at least one extra-base hit in five of those contests. With Colorado's offense on the rise, he's also already up to 39 RBI in just 48 games played. Murphy regularly hits in the fourth or fifth spot in the lineup, so he gets tons of opportunities and should end up putting up another nice season, even at 34 years of age.--Billy Stonick - RotoBaller
