Daniel Bellinger 2024 Fantasy Football Outlook: Low Ceiling Despite Path To Starting Snaps
6 months agoNew York Giants tight end Daniel Bellinger finds himself atop the Giants' TE depth chart with Darren Waller's retirement. Bellinger's snap count was above 80% in all five games that Waller missed last season, with Lawrence Cager mixing in too. Unfortunately, Bellinger never topped 50 yards or four receptions in a game, with zero touchdowns as well amidst an injury-stricken Giants offense. While Waller's exit could provide some upside for Bellinger, he may slide behind NYG's 2024 fourth-round selection, Theo Johnson out of Penn State. Bellinger's snaps could remain steady early as Johnson gets up to speed and develops as a run blocker. But his overall routes run and target tallies are unlikely to pop, even with Daniel Jones back to lead a healthy offense. With RotoBaller's half-PPR rank of TE40 echoing his early ADP, Bellinger can be left undrafted until he earns a look.
