D'Angelo Russell 2018-19 Player Outlook
6 years agoBrooklyn Nets point guard D’Angelo Russell entered his first season in Brooklyn on a tear, averaging 20.9 points and 5.7 assists per game through his first 12 games. However, a knee injury sidelined Russell for most of the season which brought upon the emergence of point guard Spencer Dinwiddie. Russell took awhile to get back into game shape after the injury, but showed some of the early season promise by the time the season ended. Now, Russell enters the season healthy and poised for a rebound year. However, with the emergence of Dinwiddie and the acquisition of Shabazz Napier, the Nets have a three-headed attack at the point guard position. Russell should still get the bulk of the minutes to start the season as long as he remains healthy. He may not get back to the 20+ points per game average, but between 15-17 points per game with around five assists is a reasonable prediction for the upcoming season.
