Dak Prescott 2023 NFL Player Outlook: New Weapons Could Help Fantasy Production
2 years agoDallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott was less efficient last season than he would have liked, throwing for 2,860 yards, 23 touchdowns, and 15 interceptions in 12 games. That correlated to a QB18 fantasy finish, averaging 17.8 fantasy points per game. He had six top-12 quarterback finishes but only had two games over 25 fantasy points. Part of the problem for Prescott in 2022 was the interceptions and the need for more weapons. But with the addition of wide receiver Brandin Cooks to this offense and a confident Michael Gallup returning from an injury-riddled 2022 season, Prescott can return to being an elite fantasy quarterback option. He has finished top 10 at the position in four of his seven NFL seasons, including a QB2 finish in 2019. That season, Prescott threw passes to a solid receiving group of Gallup, Amari Cooper, Randall Cobb, and Jason Witten. With those weapons, Prescott had six 25-plus fantasy point games and only three games under 17 fantasy points. The 29-year-old signal-caller has the upside to finish as a top 5 fantasy quarterback again in an elite offense. RotoBaller has Prescott as the 10th quarterback off the board in 2023.
