12/16:Bruce Levine of CBS Chicago reports that the Chicago Cubs are showing interest in free-agent starting pitcher Yu Darvish. The Cubs are set to lose both free agentsĀ Jake Arrieta and John Lackey and even with their recent addition of Tyler Chatwood, they still need to round out their rotation. The 31-year-old Darvish is arguably the biggest free-agent starter on the market. Between the Rangers and Dodgers this past season, he went 10-12 with a 3.68 ERA and 209 strikeouts in 186 2/3 innings. Darvish would be a big get for the Cubs and has previously been linked to the Mariners, Dodgers, Rangers and Twins.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
