11 months agoLos Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Clayton Kershaw didn't quite live up to his God-like status on Wednesday night in Oakland, but the Dodgers ace still threw six solid innings against the A's. He gave up six hits, allowed two runs, and only stuck out a single batter before the bullpen took over. The Dodgers would eventually lose 3-2. It was Kershaw's seventh straight quality start -- a really positive sign considering he was sidelined with a back injury for a stretch before the All-Star break. He now owns a 2.58 ERA and a 1.066 WHIP for the season, with a still-great 8.8 K/9 rate. As long as he's healthy, Kershaw obviously remains one of the best pitchers in baseball.--Devon Taylor - RotoBaller
