6/1:Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Clayton Kershaw (back) returned to the mound for the Dodgers on Thursday night for the first time in a month. He went five innings, gave up one earned run and struck out five batters over 62 pitches. However, he left the game early with "back tightness," and manager Dave Roberts said their ace was headed for another MRI. He won't travel with the team this weekend for their series in Colorado, and his next scheduled start (Wednesday) is up in the air right now. He could be headed back to the disabled list if the MRI reveals a more serious injury. Obviously, Kershaw is not replaceable for fantasy owners, but recently called up pitcher Dennis Santana may get a real shot in the L.A. rotation if both Kershaw and Kenta Maeda continue to struggle with their health. It's a frustrating and scary development for Kershaw and his owners, as he missed considerable time on the DL last year with a back injury, too.--Devon Taylor - RotoBaller
