Christian Walker Absent From Lineup Again On Sunday
4 months agoArizona Diamondbacks first baseman Christian Walker is sitting out of the lineup on Sunday against the Atlanta Braves. It will be only the 32-year-old's fourth absence of the season, but notably his second in as many days, in 59 possible games. Walker has no injury designation at this juncture, so we'd expect him to return for the start of a three-game set with the Washington Nationals beginning on Tuesday. Perhaps the Diamondbacks will provide some clarity on his status soon. Emmanuel Rivera is at the cold corner and batting fifth versus Michael Soroka on Sunday. Rivera could be worth a gander in DFS while functioning from the Arizona's heart of the order and hitting .341 with an .828 OPS in 82 at-bats this year.
