3 years agoBaltimore Orioles starting pitcher Chris Tillman is not expected to be ready for opening day after having a platelet-rich plasma injection in his right shoulder in December. Tillman is roughly three weeks behind the other pitchers, so the O's could backdate a disabled list stint, meaning Tillman could wind up only missing a start or two to begin the season if he can avoid setbacks from here. As Baltimore's ace the last several years, Tillman has been wildly mediocre and pitched to a 3.77 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 140 strikeouts in 172 innings (7.3 K/9) in 2016. The fact that he pitches in the tough American League East and in a very hitter-friendly park don't help his fantasy cause.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
