Charlie Blackmon Extends Hit Streak To Nine Games
11 months agoColorado Rockies outfielder/designated hitter Charlie Blackmon went 2-for-5 with a home run, three runs scored, and two RBI in a high-scoring 11-10 victory over the New York Mets on Sunday. The 36-year-old is putting together a resurgent campaign from 2022, now slashing .287/.369/.466 with 30 runs scored, five long balls, and 23 RBI in 2023. Not only has the hitting machine hit safely in all but three of his 21 games in May, but Blackmon's hot bat has also connected for a .339 average, nine extra-base hits, and 11 RBI over his last 16 games. The two-time Silver Slugger is a superior fantasy play when at home than on the road, but the Rocks will only play six of their next 23 games at Coors Field.
