Carlos Correa Doubles, Strikes Out Thrice In Return To Lineup
10 months agoMinnesota Twins shortstop Carlos Correa (heel) was able to make it back into the lineup on Tuesday versus the Tampa Bay Rays. He went 1-for-4 with a double, which broke up Zach Eflin's early no-hit bid in the fourth inning, and three strikeouts in his return. The 28-year-old was out of action for the last three games as he continues to manage the plantar fasciitis in his left foot. Correa has been a massive fantasy disappointment, hitting just .208/.298/.375 with 6 homers and 24 RBI over 192 at-bats this season. It's fair to wonder if Minnesota would better suited sending their $200 million slugger to the injured list for a spell to mend his balky foot a bit. Correa may have to deal with the issue all season, regardless, and it seems the Twins will continue to take a day-to-day approach with the two-time All-Star.
