Cameron Heyward 2023 NFL Player Outlook: Top Tier Interior Defensive Lineman
1 year agoPittsburgh Steelers defensive tackle Cameron Heyward is in an elite class of interior defensive linemen who consistently produce double-digit sacks and high tackle numbers. Even at age 33 last season, he still made 10.5 sacks and 74 combined tackles while being graded by PFF at 89.8. It was his sixth straight season, graded at 80 or above. When it comes to defensive tackles, there are only a couple whom you can rely on to score double-digit points per game. He finished as the DL9 and the DT2 in RotoBaller IDP Scoring. Heyward did produce slightly better when T.J. Watt was in the lineup. He averaged 0.85 sacks, 4.6 tackles, and 3.3 QB hits per game with Watt versus 0.3 sacks, 4.1 tackles, and 0.6 QB hits without Watt.
