4/20:Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim first baseman C.J. Cron went 1-for-4 in Wednesday’s loss to the Astros. He is now hitting .243 on the season. Cron only has one RBI and one extra-base hit on the season, along with one walk and six strikeouts. A timeshare between Cron and Jefry Marte has been starting to take shape, but the latter is hitting .148, making Cron seem like the obvious candidate for playing time moving forward. Regardless, both players will take a big hit in playing time when Luis Valbuena (hamstring) returns from his injury. Unless Cron starts hitting for power, he should not be owned in standard formats. The 27-year-old is in the lineup on Thursday, facing Lance McCullers and the Astros. Cron is 2-for-10 with four strikeouts in his career against McCullers, so do not expect a breakout game tonight.--Andy P - RotoBaller
