Brooks Lee 2024 Player Outlook: Switch-Hitting Shortstop Could Arrive In Summer
10 months agoMinnesota Twins shortstop prospect Brooks Lee is one of the top prospects in baseball. Baseball America has him ranked 35th best, while MLB.com ranks him 18th. The common theme among pundits is Lee's advanced approach and contact skills from both sides of the plate. The power isn't fully developed for the 23-year-old but could come as he grows physically. He's a great dynasty option and should be rostered in almost all dynasty formats. His redraft status is a little more up in the air, however. Reports early in the year suggest he won't make the Twins' roster out of Spring Training but could push their hand with a hot start to the Triple-A season. Minnesota has Edouard Julien, Royce Lewis, and Carlos Correa covering their infield, so Lee shouldn't be rushed to the bigs unless an injury occurs. Even with his on-base skills, it would be surprising to see Lee crack the top of the Twins' lineup when he finally does arrive, so he may be someone who helps fantasy managers' batting average in 2024 but not much else.
