6/12:After an opening round of 66, Brooks Koepka found himself on the front page of the leaderboard on opening day at the FedEx St. Jude Classic. Nothing too fancy came of Koepka’s play over the next two days, carding two one-under rounds to sit at six-under par heading into Sunday. Sunday saw the reigning U.S. Open champion produce a dismal three-over par 73 to finish T30 at three-under par. This week, Koepka will defend his 2017 U.S. Open title at Shinnecock Hills. In a comment from the Golf Channel during Live From The U.S. Open, Koepka’s swing coach stated that Koepka is hitting the ball better than he has ever seen him hit. With comments like that, look for Koepka to be charging up the leaderboard this weekend.--Todd Dorsa - RotoBaller
