3 years agoQuarterback Brian Hoyer wasn't able to leverage his OK 2015 performance with the Texans into a starting job last offseason, leaving him to settle for a backup gig with the Bears. It ended up being a fantastic choice, as injuries forced him into a starting role Week 3 before his own injury ended his season after Week 7. Hoyer finished the season passing for 1,445 yards, six touchdowns and zero interceptions while completing 67% of his passes. The Bears' team-wide failures on offense limited what he was able to achieve from a fantasy perspective, but he showed potential of being a viable choice for streamers and two-quarterback leaguers. Entering free agency again, where Hoyer will play next is yet to be seen. If he gets his way and is able to stay with the Bears as their starter (or goes anywhere where he'll start), that low-end potential will continue to play in much deeper leagues.--Tony
