Brent Honeywell Will Likely Miss 2018 Season
7 years agoTampa Bay Rays starting pitcher Brent Honeywell is an immense talent. He also is out for the 2018 season with a torn UCL which will lead to a Tommy John surgery. He has spent the last two seasons as a top-100 prospect in some rankings and went on to start the 2017 Futures Game. He would even win the game MVP. He features a screwball and struck out 172 batters in 136 2/3 innings. Unlike many young pitchers who feature high strikeout numbers, he managed to only walk 35 batters. It is not a guarantee that he will come back the same but many players have returned from this situation to have success afterward. If you find a skittish owner of Honeywell in a dynasty league, strike up a conversation He is also a very interesting player in dynasty formats whom you might be able to get at a discount if you strike quickly.
