7 months agoChicago Cubs relief pitcher Brandon Morrow (elbow) is scheduled to build up to 105 feet while playing catch on Wednesday. He is hoping to be cleared to resume a regular daily throwing program after that. Morrow will not be ready for the start of the regular season after having right elbow surgery last November. He was excellent for the Cubbies in the closer role in the first half, but his injury kept him out the entire second half of the season. Pedro Strop should enter the year as the closer after filling in admirably. Morrow will strictly be a handcuff closing option late in deep mixed leagues.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
