2 years agoBen Lively has had a decent stretch of starts down the stretch of this 2017 season for the Philadelphia Phillies, but that run came to an end tonight against the Atlanta Braves. The 25-year-old was rocked for six runs on eight hits and two walks in five innings of work. The first inning spelled immediate doom for Lively, as he was pounded for five runs, effectively deciding the game at that very point in time. After allowing an additional run in the second, he went on to toss three scoreless frames, ending his start on a minor positive note. Regardless, the loss moves his record to 3-7 on the year, while his ERA climbs back up to 4.35. Lively’s next start, his final of the season, will come next weekend against the New York Mets.--Ricky Delgado - RotoBaller
