3/15:When Asdrubal Cabrera unexpectedly had a very solid 2016 campaign, many people had their doubts as to his chances of repeating in 2017. While the jury is still out, Cabrera is making his best bid to get people on his side once again. He finished 1-for-3 with a hit against Lance McCullers on Tuesday, and overall this spring he’s put up a .357 on-base percentage and 1.049 OPS with five runs scored, four RBI and three home runs. The Mets have a crowded infield once again with players such as Jose Reyes and Wilmer Flores capable of playing many positions, but Cabrera still held down the fort last year with 135 starts at shortstop. Assuming he stays healthy, he should maintain his regular role and hopefully, his 2016 level of production.--Andrew Bua - RotoBaller
