Amon-Ra St. Brown 2023 NFL Player Outlook: Enters Year Three As Fantasy WR1
1 year agoSince entering the league as a fourth-round rookie in 2021, Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown has exceeded all expectations. He had a WR21 PPR finish in his rookie year behind a 90-catch, 912-yard, and five-touchdown season. Then last year, St. Brown followed up with an even better season. He finished with 106 catches for 1,161 yards and six touchdowns in 2022. He was a fantasy football WR1 and ended his sophomore campaign as the WR7 in PPR formats. The 23-year-old wideout averaged 16.7 fantasy points per game and had just one game under 10 PPR fantasy points -- not counting the two games he played hurt in. Now, St. Brown enters his third season already in the WR1 conversation, thanks to his consistency in his first two years and his upside in an up-and-coming Detroit offense. St. Brown will be especially busy to start the season as 2022 first-round pick Jameson Williams will be serving a six-game suspension for violating NFL's gambling policy. The Lions ranked top 10 in points per game (26.6) and passing yards per game (251.8) in 2022. If that offensive steadiness continues into 2023, St. Brown should be in for another solid fantasy season and is ranked 18th overall in the latest RotoBaller rankings.
