3 years agoYelp. Just when it seemed like wide receiver Alshon Jeffery may finally be freed of his fantasy value jail, that door was swiftly slammed shut in the Bears' 36-10 loss to the Buccaneers Sunday. He caught 4-of-9 targets for 47 yards as Cutler's predictable usage of Jeffery allowed the Bucs' pass defense to actually look competent. They followed the same game plan the rest of the league is using--sit on the ace, Jeffery--and wait for the mistakes to happen, including a first-quarter interception the wide receiver took blame for. Until the Bears figure out how to combat the way defenses plan for them, their best weapon is going to continue to collect dust and resentment. Jeffery continues to be a WR1 slumming it as a WR2/flex play, too talented to drop but too inconsistent to start.--Tony
