Alshon Jeffery Looking to Build Off of Strong Return, Still a Volatile Fantasy Asset
3 years agoWide receiver Alshon Jeffery made a splash in his return from a PED suspension Week 15 against the Packers and gave hope to his fantasy owners that the old Jeffery we all know and love could make a late-season appearance. Granted, the Redskins aren't the easiest team to make noise against as a wide receiver--they rank 21st in fantasy points allowed to the position over the past four weeks--but they have allowed at least 300 passing yards each of the past three games and the Bears have been throwing quite a bit again. This is still the 2016 Jeffery that has disappointed his owners too often and still a Bears' team that staunchly refuses to challenge double-teamed receivers, so while there is a flicker of WR1 hope, he shouldn't be considered more than a WR3.
