2 years agoAlex Noren made his first cut at the U.S. Open and was able to see how grueling it can really be. During his opening round, Noren carded a two-over 72, which included four bogeys and two birdies. The following day, Noren recorded the same score as Thursday to make the cut comfortably at four-over par heading into his first weekend at a U.S. Open. Noren was hoping to capitalize on his efforts to make it count over the weekend, but failed to do so after battling against Shinnecock Hills on a very difficult moving day, recording a very sluggish round of 77. Noren finished his first U.S. Open Sunday with an uneventful one-over par round of 71 to finish T25 and grab his eighth top-25 finish of the season. At the U.S. Open, Noren ranked eighth in strokes gained putting at 6.459 and sixth in putts per green in regulation, averaging 1.758. Noren is ranked 17th in the Official World Golf Rankings and has a scoring average of 69.860.--Todd Dorsa - RotoBaller
