2 years agoLos Angeles Angels starting pitcher Alex Meyer (shoulder) plans to do some long toss Wednesday, and he's hoping that the team will try to bring him back before the end of the season. The Angels aren't in dire straights with their rotation with the recent returns of Tyler Skaggs and Andrew Heaney, but Meyer would certainly give them a boost as they seek a wild-card spot. The tall right-hander was seeing some success with a 3.74 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and impressive 10.0 K/9 in 13 starts with the Halos this year. Counting on him for any more fantasy contributions in September isn't wise, though.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
