2 years agoAngels starter Alex Meyer felt a little something in his shoulder and stopped throwing this week, according to manager Mike Scioscia. Meyer says he feels better now, but he is still not throwing. Meyer has been on the DL since July 25 and was expected to return shortly, but this setback pushes his return back toward the end of the month. With Andrew Heaney set to return and Garrett Richards not too far behind, Meyer may have a hard time finding a spot back in the rotation. Meyer, 27, has a 3.74 ERA and a 1.34 WHIP on the season, but with a less-than-impressive 4.12 FIP.--Andy Patton - RotoBaller
