2 years agoAngels’ starter Alex Meyer (shoulder) played light catch on Thursday, his second time playing catch in the week. Meyer was placed on the DL back on July 25 but was always expected to return quickly. Although there is no firm timetable, Meyer can be expected back in short order. The 27-year-old has posted a 3.74 ERA (4.13 FIP) and a 1.34 WHIP with 75 strikeouts in 67 1/3 innings. Meyer remains a nice starting option in deep mixed and AL-only formats and is an intriguing streamer for owners in need of strikeouts.--Andy Patton - RotoBaller
