2 days agoDetroit Tigers starting pitcher Alex Faedo tossed six innings and punched out 10 hitters in the team's 7-2 victory over the Chicago White Sox on Thursday. He gave up only two runs en route to his first win of the campaign and perhaps the best start of his young career. The former first-round pick has been something of a revelation in 2023, not for his middling 4.15 ERA, but his beguiling 0.74 WHIP. Faedo has lent just one free pass across his 21.2 innings of work. Before managers flock to waiver wires to add the 27-year-old, though, consider that he has nightmarish assignment against the upstart Texas Rangers for his next start on Tuesday.--Joseph Barbati - RotoBaller
