6/24:Kansas City Royals shortstop Alcides Escobar has been an offensive black hole this season, accounting for an incredible -26.5 offensive fWAR so far. However, he's been on a (relative) tear recently. Escobar extended his longest hit streak of the season on Saturday by going 3-for-3 with his first triple of 2017 and two runs scored. The streak has allowed him to drag his batting average above the Mendoza line, and the triple also pulled his slugging percentage up above .275 for the first time this year. Escobar's season numbers are still pitiful, but his June numbers of a .265 batting average with one home run and two stolen bases are at least ownable in very deep leagues.--Billy Stonick - RotoBaller
