6 months agoTampa Bay Buccaneers impending free-agent wide receiver Adam Humphries is expected to seek $8 million a year on his next contract, and that might be about $2 million more than the team is willing to pay. Humphries was second in targets last year behind Mike Evans with 105 and also was second in catches (76) and third in receiving yards (816). If Humphries leaves in free agency, Chris Godwin could fill the slot role, which has been a position of big-time production under head coach Bruce Arians in his time with the Cardinals. Godwin is an excellent blocker and has the speed to get vertical on the field. Godwin will turn 23 later this month and had 59 catches (95 targets) for 842 yards and seven touchdowns in his sophomore season. Just imagine what he could do in Arians' offense if both Humphries and DeSean Jackson are out of town in 2019. He'll be a popular breakout candidate with WR2 upside.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
