Aaron Rodgers 2019 Player Outlook - QB1 Is In His Future
6 years agoFor years, Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was the clear-cut top option at the quarterback position in real and fantasy football. After two years where he's dealt with a struggling offense and injuries, he's slid a touch. 2019 is the year where he can reclaim that throne. His top wideout Davante Adams continues to get better every year, and he should get the explosive running back Aaron Jones back this season to help open up defenses. His main weapon though will be the creative mind of new head coach Matt LaFleur. LaFleur's offense is designed to create big plays, and Rodgers loves to make them happen. The young wide receivers on the roster all have the ability to make plays down the field. Rodgers' ability to extend plays and take care of the football, as evidenced by the fact he's thrown more than 10 interceptions in a season just twice in his career, means that he rarely is taking negative plays. That means he's always putting points on the board. Rodgers is still mobile with the ability to make any throw that he wants. With a reasonable schedule ahead of him, he should be in for a huge season.
