9/25:Although just last month it appeared unlikely, Aaron Judge’s scorching stretch has catapulted him into the history books. The 25-year-old drilled two more home runs during this afternoon’s 11-3 Yankees blowout victory over the Kansas City Royals. The two home runs raise his season total to 50, setting a Major League record for most by a rookie, breaking Mark McGwire’s 30-year record. Judge’s rise, fall and second rise all in his first full season in the majors has been astonishing. Going into the All-Star break, he was being discussed as a possible triple crown winner, but fell onto hard times with a massive slump to kick off the second half of the year. During this month, however, Judge has regained his form and sees continued progression as we head towards the postseason. He’s now hitting .283 with 50 home runs and 108 RBI on the year.--Ricky Delgado - RotoBaller
